According to CoinMarketCap data, Zcash has amassed a 933% year-over-year gain, rising from $38.43 on October 31, 2024. On August 19th, ZEC closed at $34.59 per coin, according to CoinMarketCap data, giving privacy advocates an opportunity to increase their purchasing power with Zcash tenfold.

Interestingly, Zcash is trading at its highest market capitalization ever with a market capitalization of $6.24 billion, surpassing the value ever achieved at a single price per coin in the past. This is because the supply of coins had decreased significantly by that time.
According to CoinMarketCap, on January 12, 2018, ZEC traded at $703.75 per coin, giving it a market cap of $2.14 billion. In 2021, Zcash’s market capitalization peaked at $3.74 billion on May 7th, but it is still trading at about the same price as it is now, at a level of $300 per coin.
ZEC surpasses XMR and SHIB, will LTC be next?
Zcash surpassed Monero in market capitalization near 3:30 a.m. UTC on October 31, according to snapshots taken during the act, casually referred to as “flipping.” At the time, ZEC’s market capitalization was $6.03 billion, compared to XMR’s $5.95 billion. Shiba Inu had already flipped a few hours earlier, and at the time of the snapshot, SHIB was valued at $5.79 billion.
