BNB Chain X Account Was Compromised, Now Restored

The last quarter of 2025 may not have started a big memo for the BNB chain due to recent attacks on social media accounts. Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, CZ, used X to warn the public that their @bnbchain X account had been compromised.

BNB Chain Hackers Expand Phishing Links for Wallet Connections

On October 1, CZ used X to announce an attack on the X accounts of the BNB chain, explaining the behaviors that bad actors performed after successfully gaining control of their social media accounts.

To ensure that the hack impact was included, the BNB chain team contacted X to suspend their accounts, at least until they were convinced that their users and funds were safe.
