Humanity, the parent of Claude AI, has been steadily expanding internationally after seeing great demand from companies around the world.
The company is worth $183 billion and has gone up to over 300,000 business customers in two years, with fewer than 1,000 business customers. On Friday, the boss said it would triple the international workforce and make it five times more customer help teams in 2025.
This move occurs because most users are currently based outside of the US. Approximately 80% of people using Claude live in other countries. Places like Korea, Australia and Singapore actually have more users per person than the US.
“The surprising thing is that until recently we had no human presence in Europe, Japan or international markets, but we still have a very important business,” said Paul Smith, the top commercial director, in an interview reported by CNBC.
The first Asian office will be opened in Tokyo, with a major expansion in Europe planned
Humanity is looking for country bosses in India, Australia, New Zealand, Korea and Singapore. They also employ in various regions of Europe, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and across the UK.
The company will open its first Asian office in Tokyo and add more than 100 jobs to Dublin and London. A research centre in Zurich is also planned, with more offices coming up later.
Chris Xiauri joined as the person in charge of international business. Recently, he ran a software company called Unily and worked for Google Cloud and Salesforce. At Salesforce, he helped expand business growth in Europe, the Middle East and Africa from $200 million to more than $3 billion.
“The G20 government is approaching us about doing things that are truly, really interesting at the citizens’ realization level,” Ciauri said. Large European and Asian companies want to use Claude for the needs of certain industries as well.
This is happening while corporate AI rivalries are simmering. Humanity reached $5 billion in annual revenue, up from $87 million at the start of 2024.
It makes the company oppose the large corporation. Openai has announced a $850 billion infrastructure agreement with Oracle, Nvidia and SoftBank. Microsoft and Google continue to add AI stuff to existing business tools, making it easy for businesses to add things like Copilot and Gemini without much change.
Large companies report dramatic efficiency improvements with Claude
Humanity is doing something different. Instead of adding AI to older software, let your businesses use Claude directly.
“If you’re an AWS customer, you should consume humanity through the bedrock and if you’re a great Google customer through the top, there’s a very good reason,” Smith said. He pointed out that most large companies use not one but several AI providers.
Real outcomes for businesses
The companies are showing a big victory over Claude. Novo Nordisk, a Danish pharmaceutical company that manufactures Ozempic, used Claude to reduce the typical three-month analysis process to just a few days.
A large Norwegian sovereign wealth fund uses Claude to analyze billions of dollars in investments. They saved 213,000 hours of work. This is a 20% increase in productivity for 9,000 companies investing.
SK Telecom, Korea’s customer service quality jumped 34% after deploying Claude everywhere. The European Parliament has made millions of old documents searchable. Australia’s federal banks have cut fraud losses in half.
Additionally, as reported by Cryptopolitan, business users can now choose between OpenAI or the human model when using Microsoft’s Copilot AI Assistant.
Claude Code, released in May, has already made $500 million. Usage increased 10 times in three months.
Unlike other companies that create common tools, humanity builds custom staff for specific industries such as communications, pharmaceutical companies, banks, and government.
The human team that helps customers set up Claude will grow five times the size next year. These people will help businesses understand how to use Claude for their specific needs. Humanity is also putting money into 24/7 support and systems that keep your data safe. This is extremely important for regulated industries.
Ciauri believes adapting to the local language is the key to winning. He mentioned how Panasonic uses a customized Claude model for Japanese language and culture.
