Many say Bittensor ($TAO) is the next Bitcoin. It follows similar tokenomics and excretion structure.
Well, TAO has given us a great opportunity to invest in microcaps without losing money.
- Bittensor is an outstanding performer among altcoins along with BNB.
- Bittensor’s chart is very bullish. Despite the market downturn, Bittensall appears to be a safer option in the long run.
- Many are saying Bittensor ($TAO) is the next Bitcoin due to similar tokenomics and emissions.
What new investment opportunities does TAO offer?
- Previously, staking $TAO gave you emissions in (only) $TAO.
- TAO allows you to invest in subnet microcaps without losing money. This is just an option and you can also choose to get TAO as a reward.
- This is safer than risking your money by purchasing more volatile subnet tokens.

So how is Bittensor $TAO changing the AI economy?
Previously:
- New liquidity output (TAO) flows into each subnet’s liquidity pool based on the subnet price.
- This means that subnets with higher ALPHA prices have higher TAO emissions.
- This process had its drawbacks and risked cheating the economy (as in the previous model, net inflows are the better model; subnets with high ALPHA prices and high liquidity could easily absorb negative net inflows).
How is the Bitensor token economy currently working?
- In the new flow-based model, a subnet that has negative net TAO flow (TAO flowing into the subnet minus TAO flowing out due to staking/unstaking activity) for a sufficient period of time will have zero TAO emissions and therefore zero alpha injection. This means:
- Subnet pool liquidity does not increase.
- User staking has higher slippage.
- Difficult to attract new participants.

Will TAO Alpha token issuance work?
- ALPHA emissions are awarded according to the work of subnet participants.
- Each subnet receives ALPHA emissions independently of TAO emissions.
- The ALPHA released is equivalent to a full block release per block.
How is TAO alpha emission distributed?
- At the end of each tempo (approximately 360 blocks/72 minutes), the collected ALPHA is shared as follows:
- 18% goes to the subnet owner.
- 41% to the minors (determined by Yuma consensus).
- 41% will be allocated to validators and their stakeholders (based on validator holdings).

Can Bittensor $TAO subnet owners maintain positive emissions?
- Build real utility that attracts long-term investors.
- Create sustainable value and drive TAO inflow.
Do Bittensor TAO validators and stakers receive emissions?
- The verifier obtains the quota from the ejection pool.
- TAO and ALPHA are then issued to stakers based on validator holdings.
- TAO draining occurs by swapping a portion of ALPHA through a subnet liquidity pool.
Why is this emissions model important?
- Real demand wins: Utilities, users, and revenue drive TAO inflows.
- Darwinian design: Weak subnets are pruned and strong subnets grow.
- Strengthening the ecosystem: More TAOs are anchored in productive locations, reducing selling pressure.

Earn higher APY than usual
- Typical staking APY is around 4-5%.
- You can now choose between TAO tokens or ALPHA tokens as your reward.
- The TAO Stats platform allows you to choose one validator for staking.
How can I stake TAO and claim Alpha tokens?
- go to
- Connect your Substrate wallet (subwallet or talisman).
- Go to ‘Balance’ and use the slider to select the amount you want to bet.
- Complete the staking process.

Claim Alpha Tokens instead of TAO
- Go to the Claims tab.
- To obtain the ALPHA token, change the Root Claim Type to “Keep”.
- This choice gives you a higher APY and can be manually converted to TAO.
- If the billing type is “Swap”, you will have safer TAO emissions in the long run.
