Tether Partners with Vietnam’s Da Nang to Boost Web3 Infrastructure

Da Nang is rapidly moving towards a digital future, and Web3 infrastructure is central to its plans. The city has partnered with Tether, one of the largest digital assets, to further this vision.

This partnership puts Web3 infrastructure at the core of Da Nang’s goal of building a smarter, safer and clearer digital environment.

A big step towards digital governance

Tether and Da Nang People’s Committee signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The goal is to help the city develop more effective digital tools that leverage blockchain, digital assets, and peer-to-peer technology.

Both sides plan to study how these tools can improve governance. They want open, fast, and tamper-resistant systems. Tether will share global best practices and help Da Nang design policies that are consistent with those of major countries.

Blockchain policy and RWA tokenization support

As part of the agreement, Tether will help Da Nang City develop policies regarding blockchain and digital assets. This includes rules for sandbox experiments, new fintech projects, and the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA).

Tether will leverage its global experience to guide cities, including its work with the Plan ₿ model. The goal is to create a clear, secure, and transparent framework for Web3 infrastructure and digital asset regulation.

Build local talent and university partnerships

Tether and Danang plan to partner with universities and research centers across Vietnam. They plan to offer training courses on blockchain, AI, and peer-to-peer systems. These programs help local groups learn how to build and run blockchain payment systems. This supports financial inclusion and helps both the public and private sectors modernize their payment rails.

Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino praised Danang’s big vision. He said the city is becoming a leader in digital governance in Southeast Asia. He also said Tether wants to help build a strong and resilient digital ecosystem.

City Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh said Da Nang aims to become a top destination for global technology and financial companies. He believes the partnership with Tether is an important move in that direction.

conclusion

This Tether partnership demonstrates Danang’s commitment to developing a robust Web3 system. With Tether’s support, the city is establishing itself as a major hub for blockchain digital assets in Vietnam and abroad.
