Solana Foundation manager Bibb publicly challenged Ripple executives and XRP community members to a live debate that focused solely on verifiable on-chain data. In this call posted on X, anyone in the XRP community was invited to participate in a “just the facts” discussion.
Solana Exec notes stagnation in XRP network activity
Vibhu said the goal is to counter what he described as widespread denial of actual performance metrics within the network. Solana Foundation managers said they want Ripple and XRP to succeed, but criticized the community for ignoring available data that shows limited growth.
He explained that while it is safe to believe in future adoption, current on-chain data paints a different picture. His comments pointed out that XRP’s network activity has been stagnant for years compared to rapidly growing blockchains like Solana.
Daily active accounts on the XRP Ledger have hovered around 25,000 for three years, according to data he cited from XRPScan. The mention comes in the wake of the listing of Evernorth, a new venture related to Ripple, on the Nasdaq. This further expands XRP’s institutional footprint.
By comparison, Solana currently averages over 2.5 million active accounts per day, a difference of 100x. Vibhu said this is a major concern given XRP’s long presence on the market and the value of its ecosystem.
Vibhu compares massive amounts of XRP activity to Solana
Vibhu also shared metrics showing that the XRP Ledger processes approximately 1 million to 1.5 million transactions daily, but this number has only increased slightly over time. Solana, on the other hand, reportedly processes around 100 million transactions every day. Vibhu said this comparison highlights how active Solana’s network is in real-world use cases.
I hope Ripple and XRP will be very successful and the entire industry will move forward.
But the fact is, even though the data is readily available, the community is not claiming the facts. And as a long-time engineer and truth seeker, that bothers me.

In terms of payment amounts, total XRP transfers are around $50 billion to $60 billion every month. By contrast, Solana stablecoin transfer volume alone reached nearly $2 trillion in October, according to Blockworks data cited by Vibhu.
But Ripple is also expanding its ecosystem with its new DeFi roadmap. It focuses on tokenization and stablecoin adoption within the XRP Ledger to facilitate future on-chain activities.
He argued that claims that Solana’s activity is inflated by bots are not supported by the data, as the numbers do not include wash trading. Meanwhile, Ripple’s acquisition of GTreasury continues to expand the company’s reach and deepen its role in global liquidity and payments.
Vibhu highlighted that both Solana and the XRP Ledger have low transaction fees. This means that if demand is comparable, there is no clear reason why XRP would not attract similar activity. He called XRP’s growth “very mediocre,” especially considering how long Ripple has been in the digital payments space.
Solana executives invite Ripple to public discussion
Vibhu also said that while there is still a chance for XRP to win in the long run, the current performance is disappointing. He urged XRP holders to honestly assess how long they are willing to wait for meaningful traction.
Solana Foundation managers then directly invited Ripple executives to a live discussion. Bibb said he will present the facts and expects Ripple representatives to do the same, leaving it to the internet to decide who presents the stronger case.
Publish your offer to XRP community members or Ripple executives. Let’s have a livestream discussion about X here.
You bring the facts, I bring the facts too. Facts matter.
Let the internet decide who wins.@dom_kwok?
