Bitcoin is in a very interesting junction on a humble journey. As we approach one of the half-milestones of Bitcoin, we see a surge in Bitcoin Layer 2 solutions.
While Bitcoin Layer 2 solutions work very differently than what we saw with the Ethereum Layer 2 solution, the promises of these Layer 2 solutions are immeasurable and could unlock the usefulness of Bitcoin, which is always considered missing.
Stacks (STX) is one of the bitcoin layer 2 solutions that are believed to be the leading category, and there is much development around it. I talk a lot about them on my twitter handle If you want to be late for updates, you can join here.

There are two options here.
Basic and advanced

Advanced is a two-stage process, and if you are purchasing an important BNS (.BTC) domain name, it is better to use the Advanced feature to avoid front rotation. And if it’s a generic name, step 1 is fine.
If you are a serious user, we recommend reading more about the differences.
Note: When I was using it to purchase a domain, the advanced feature had failed, so I used the basic feature.
It will be interesting to see if .btc domain names become as popular as .ens domain names. This is only time, but for now, 1 year/$1 per domain name isn’t too bad, and it could be a chance for future degrees and domains to purchase premium domain names.
